The club has arranged for a crane to lift all boats out of the water on Friday July 10.
- Pulling will start at about 9:00 AM. Schedule is not set for individual boats, yet.
- We are getting a large (115 ton) crane that should be able to lift all boats. The boat removal company has all the straps and rigging to move any of our boats, using single point lift or straps. These are professional boat movers, who understand sailboats.
- Payments will be arranged later – to get this going, DCYC and the insurance companies will split the total cost as determined by number of boats and time spent. Then members will be billed for the split costs later. Subject to change or adjustment by club officers.
- Time to remove boats can be as little as 10 minutes for point-lift boats with existing trailers, to an hour for boats on trailers that need to be adjusted on the fly.
We need volunteers and help, to make this work in a timely manner.
